Teacher Resources

ldren Save the Day

Our Language Arts Curriculum is based on a fourteen-session in-school Residency. It is designed so teachers can connect WCSD’s program content with the National Standards for Language Arts as well as with their school’s individual language arts program. The curriculum includes lesson outlines, materials needed, teacher prep time, suggested homework assignments, and explicit connections to reading and writing.

The Service Learning Project Guide offers teachers a framework through which to create a meaningful community service project. This reference includes a visual model, glossary of terms, sample project, and blank planning sheets for educators. It also includes web resources and a bibliography.

Teacher Resources are provided to educators who participate in an Educator Workshop as well as to schools participating in a Residency or After-School Program.
